The priority actions and initiatives that will be purused by C4EM are contained in our Strategic Plan - a document which reflects the vision and aspirations of C4EM members for the future growth and prosperity of Echuca Moama.
C4EM's Strategic Plan was launched on Juy 12, 2012 by the Victorian Acting Premier and Minister for Regional and Rural Development, the Hon. Peter Ryan MP at a luncheon in Echuca.
The Strategic Plan acts as the blueprint for seeking action, from the relevant levels of government and other stakeholders, for the advancement and delivery of the identified priority actions and initiatives.
The Strategic Plan contains 42 initiatives and actions for the short, mid and long-term under six Strategic Platforms:
Grow economic investment
Nurture a sustainable business environment
Enhance new infrastructure developments
Foster the area's natural and competitive advantages
Support improvements in social services, community amenity and sustainable living
Promote eduction and employment initiatives
C4EM is a dynamic organisation, and so is the Strategic Plan. Each year the Plan will be reviewed and refined by members to ensure it captures and addresses the changing needs and aspirations of C4EM's membership.
There is a broad range of initiatives contained in the Strategic Plan and each will require its own unique form of action.
The number and diveristy of initiatives and actions listed in the Strategic Plan is ambitious. And the extent to which C4EM can pursue each or some of them will be dependent on available resources - both from C4EM's revenue base and external sources.
Therefore, a critical first step in bringing the Strategic Plan to life and achieving the desired outcomes is the development of an Implementation Plan. This will involve prioritising the initiatives and actions, establishing firm timeframes and developing a separate plan of action for each priority.
Overtime, as C4EM's financial base grows, more of the initiatives and actions will be able to be pursued with a higher priority.
On an annual basis, C4EM will produce a 'report card' on the progress of each of the initiatives and actions, and our members and stakeholders will recieve regular updates on key milestones for priority projects.
We look forward to working with our members, all levels of government and our stakeholders to achieve a more vibrant and prosperous Echuca Moama - for our people, communities and businesses.
